She was born at the old Our Lady of the Lake hospital in Baton Rouge on September 21, 1953. shortly after her birth her parents moved to Jackson where she attended McKowen High until the sixth grade then her parents moved to Denham Springs where she graduated from D.S. High School in 1971. She married shortly after high school and moved to Watson until she divorced in the 1980s. After she married for the second time she moved to Mississippi where she lived until her death. Her second marriage ended in 2004 after which she supported her self, working as a caregiver until she fell ill and was diagnosed with cancer in May 2008. A memorial service will be held on Oct 10, 2009 at Providencee Baptist Church in Jayess, MS. Her son and daughter-in-law, two grandchildren, a sister and nephew and numerous cousins living in Louisiana survive her.
