Having received the Purple Heart, Mr. Sziszak served our country during World War II with the United States Army. He is survived by a brother, three nieces, two nephews, and other numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial in St. Margaret Catholic Church Friday at 10 a.m., followed by a military burial in St. Margaret Cemetery. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Hwy. 190, west of Hammond, Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil service scheduled for 6 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home chapel Friday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Mr. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Chaucer Sziszak; parents, Paul A.
