THORNTON, CHARLES MONROE, SR.

Charles Monroe Thornton, Sr., 64 of Denham Springs died Wednesday, Oct 28, 
2009 at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary after a lengthy illness.  He 
was born June 1, 1945 in Denham Springs.  He was a retired construction worker 
and a US Navy veteran.

Memorial services were held at Clinton United Pentecostal Church in Clinton on 
Monday, Nov 2, 2009.
.
He is survived by a brother; two daughters and sons-in-law; two sons and a 
daughter-in-law; and numerous grandchildren and a great-grandson.

His parents; stepfather, John Franklin Cornell; a brother, Douglas Thornton; 
and a son, Willard Keith Thornton, preceded him in death.
