Mr. Travis was born Jan 2, 1916 in McComb, Mississippi. He was a dairy farmer for nearly 50 years and was retired from the Louisiana Department of Highways. Visitation was held at Pine Ridge UMC with burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Pearl Bryant Travis; his parents, Walter William and Nettie McMillian Travis; siblings, Lee, E.D., Lige, Alton, Rosa, Ethel, and Marie Blades. His survivors include his two daughters, and sons-in-law; two sons and daughters-in-law; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a special nephew; a brother; and a sister.
