WALLACE, RUTH ELAINE KNAPP

Ruth Elaine Knapp Wallace 85 of Baton Rouge died Friday, May 15, 2009.  She 
was born April 3, 1924 and worked for several years as a dental assistant.  
She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Visitation was held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Sunday, May 
17, 2009 and resumed on Monday, May 18, 2009 until the religious services with 
interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Her husband, two daughters and their husbands, son and his wife, daughter-in-
law, and three stepdaughters and two stepsons-in-law, 12 grandchildren, 24 
great-grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren survive her. 

Preceding her in death were her parents, Effie Albin Navo and Daniel E. “Ned” 
Navo; her first husband, Raymond H. Knapp; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie 
and Joe Rinaldo; a son, Melvin L. Knapp; three grandchildren, Randy Lott, Lori 
Welch, and Vicki Knapp; two sisters, Mary Alleman and Laura Cazes; and a 
brother, Thomas Navo.
