Dewey Vernon Watkins, Sr., 76, of Denham Springs, LA, passed away Monday, June 
23, 2014 at Our Lady of The Lake Regional Medical Center. 

A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Denham 
Springs, Friday, June 27, 2014, at 10 a.m. 

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Dewey Watkins, Jr. and 
fiancé', Jessica Varnado, Gary and Kayla Watkins, Thomas and Sherry Watkins, 
Delores Ann and Reggie Gros, Kennethearl Watkins, Ronnie and Joan Stevens, and 
Michael Watkins; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, 
David Lee Hancock and Jack Rainey; sisters, Patsy Boswell and Geraldine 
Newcomb; as well as many other relatives and friends, including his "babies", 
his pets, who will miss him dearly. 

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jacqueline Marie Tunnard Watkins; 
parents, Doc and Lena Hancock Watkins; and sister, Inomi Rountree.
