He was a native of Colyell and a retired carpenter and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a retired member of Carpenters Local 1098 and was a graduate of French Settlement High School. Visitation was held at Colyell Baptist Church on Thursday, March 25, 2010 and resumed on Friday with religious services conducted by Bro. Bill Holifield. Two daughters and sons-in-law, three sons and daughters-in-law, a brother, two sisters-in-law, 19 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren survive him.
