WHEAT, NEWMAN BOYD

Newman Boyd Wheat 87 of Colyell died 11:45 am Wednesday, Nov 2, 2009 at 
Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge.  He was a native of Albany and an US 
Army Veteran.

Visitation was held at Colyell Baptist Church in Colyell on Friday, Dec 4, 
2009 and resumed on Saturday, Dec 5, 2009 until religious services at 11 am 
with interment in Corner Stone Baptist Church Cemetery.

His wife of 54 years, two daughters and a son-in-law, numerous foster 
children, two sisters and brothers-in-law, two brothers and a sister-in-law, 
six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren survives him.

Preceding him in death was his parents, George and Ollie Wagner Wheat; a 
brother, Earl Wheat; a sister, Joyce Taylor Watts; and a brother-in-law, 
Isiah “Bear” Taylor.

Renaissance Funeral Services of Gonzales provided arrangements.
