White, Birdie D. Stafford

Birdie D. Stafford White, 88 died July 23, 2009.

She attended a one-room schoolhouse in Corbin.  She graduated as valedictorian 
of Walker High School in 1938.  She earned a bachelor’s degree from the LSU 
Department of Education with a minor in math and accounting.  

Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Emitte E. White, Jr.; her 
parents Emile and Calise Aime Stafford; a son, David Dewitt White.

She is survived by her sister-in-law and husband; a nephew; and two great-
nephews.  

Vistiation was at Greenoaks Funeral Home chapel.  Burial was in Resthaven 
Gardens of Memory.
