WILLIAMSON, ALICE MERCER

Alice Mercer Williamson 83 of Grace Health and Rehab of Clinton died Monday,
March 29, 2010 at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary.  She was a native of
Colfax, and was a longtime resident of Slaughter, where she was a member of
First Baptist Church.  She was retired from Lane Nursing Home, then worked as a
caregiver then retired after 10 years in 2000.  She enjoyed quilting, reading
and simply helping others.

Visitation was held at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary on Tuesday, March 30,
2010 and resumed on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at First Baptist Church of
Slaughter until the funeral service conducted by the Rev Basil Wicker and Troy
Mercer with interment in Azalea Rest Cemetery in Zachary.

Two daughters and sons-in-law, two sons and a daughter-in-law, a sister, nine
grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren survive her,

Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert L. Williamson Sr.; her parents,
Oliver C. Mercer and Annie C. Mercer; three sisters, Gladys M. Autrey; Susie M.
Nugent, and Sylvia Ellard; and four brothers, Gene Mercer, Odell Mercer, William
Mercer and Charles Mercer.
