We thank Almighty God for the 90 years of her light and warmth. Sunshine was born August 22, 1922, in Castor, Louisiana, and passed away August 26, 2012. During WWII, she served proudly as a Civil Service employee with the U.S. Corps of Engineers in Ruston, U.S. Army Engineers at Camp Robinson, and at Pine Bluff Arsenal and later with War Assets Administration. She and husband Andy raised their seven children in Baton Rouge. A vital part of Winbourne U. Methodist, she taught Sunday School, worked as secretary, and was dedicated to her Circle. She later resided in Walker where she was an active member of Walker United Methodist Church. Ensuring her children’s success was of utmost importance. She was a wonderful Mama and loyal friend. She was preceded in death by husband, Andy Snider Wise; son, Roger Craig; parents, Spencer and Ruby Hays; brothers, Roy, Ray, C. Wayne, and Keith Hays; and sister, Betty Bennett. She is survived by a sister, Martha Nell Hartman; brother, James Neal Hays; sisters-in-law, Trudie Hays and Barbara Hays; daughters, Betty Randolph and husband Billy, Joan Neal and husband Bert, Gail Naul and husband Bernie, Rebecca Chisholm, Penny Douciere and husband Ricky, and Amy Watson; son, Andy Brian Wise and wife Lydia; grandchildren, Lindy and Will Randolph, Noelle Graham, Bert Lynn Neal Jr., Wesley Naul, Sarah Gehling, Hannah and Rachel Wise, Emily and Andy Douciere, Molly, Spencer, and Matthew Watson; and great-grandchildren, Victoria Graham, Ruby Gehling, Kenzie Randolph, Martin Gehling V, Isaac Naul, and Christian Neal. Visitation was held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, on Saturday, Sept. 1, from 11 a.m. until funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment will be held at Old Castor Cemetery in Castor, Louisiana, on Sunday, Sept. 2, at 2 p.m. Pallbearers will be sons-in-law and grandsons.
