She was a native of Nashua NH and a former resident of Florida. She was born on March 10, 1918 and spent her early life in New England and was a graduate of Northampton Commercial College. She later moved to Florida and graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in history. She was a public account and enrolled to practice before the IRS. She was active in her community and was past president of the New Hampshire Association of Public Accountants and Zonta Club. She enjoyed public speaking, writing poetry, and had an intense interest in Genealogy. Members of James Chapel UMC in Holden will long remember her Christmas recitation. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, Dec 29, 2010 at James Chapel United Methodist Church in Holden LA at 6 pm. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, two sons, a daughter, a sister of New Hampshire, 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was two children, Richard R. Bourgeois and James A. Bourgeois; two siblings, Richard C. Croft and Flora June C. Rutter.
