Morehouse Clarion

Madison Journal: James E. Murray, who has been well known as one of the prominent
Republicans of 
East Carroll, residing on the Lewiston plantation, committed suicide by taking an
overdose of laudanum.  
He was a native of New Haven, Conn., and about 26 years old.
