Friday at the First Baptist church Tallulah with the Revs. Herman Savoy and Andy Hopkins officiating. Mrs. Hopkins died Wednesday August 14, 1985 at the Delta Haven nursing home after a brief illness. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. She was a native of Woodville, Ms., and a resident of Tallulah for the past 56 years, a homemaker and Member of the Montrose Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband William I. Hopkins. Survivors include five sons; George and Charles Hopkins of Tallulah, Ernest Hopkins of New Iberia, William Hopkins of Lake Providence and Rhada Hopkins of Vicksburg, Ms. and five daughters; Mrs. Mary Bowen and Mrs. Fannie Tyler of Jackson, Ms., Mrs. Josephine Kapke of Ferriday, Mrs. Minnie Collins of Monroe and Mrs. Katie Frey of Shreveport; one brother Rhada Bunch of Woodville, Ms.; 56 Grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Warren Hopkins, Melvin Hopkins, Johnny Hopkins, Ronnie Hopkins, David Collins and Andrew Powers. Honorary pallbearers were other grandsons.
