Hopkins - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe Morning World, June 1991 TALLULAH, LA - Services for Mr. George A. Hopkins, 80, of Tallulah will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 1991 at the First Baptist Church in Tallulah with Rev. John Rushing and Rev. Ramon Warren officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Hopkins died Monday, June 17, 1991 at Madison Parish Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Wilkerson County, MS. and a resident of Madison Parish for the past sixty two years and was a farmer. Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Enola C. Hopkins of Tallulah; three sons: Warren A. Hopkins, Van Wayne Hopkins and George Mitchell Hopkins, all of Tallulah; two daughters: Frances Rayburn of Brandon, MS. and Peggy Hutchison of Tallulah; four brothers: E. C. Hopkins of Baton Rouge, William Hopkins of Oak Grove, Charlie Hopkins of Tallulah , Rhada Hopkins of Vicksburg MS.; four sisters: Fannie Mae Tyler and Mary Ellen Bowen both of Jackson, MS., Josephine Kapke of Monterey, LA. and Katie Frey of Shreveport, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robert Jackson, Billy Lee, Kenny Smith, Larry Ezell, Jim Smith, Joe Collins, Melvin Hopkins and Mack Bunch. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Rae Arender, Winston Moffett, Gayle Beard, Charlie Jobe, and Dr. L.P. Neumann. The family requests any memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
