John Krueger, 34, of 727 Central Ave. and Lt. Johnny McBroom, 26, of Highway 80, two of the four firemen severely burned in Wednesday's butane fire, died late Thursday at Mercy Medical Center. The fire was at Pride Butane Co. on the old Culkin Rd. about 5:30 PM. Lt. McBroom died about 5 PM yesterday and Capt. Krueger a few hours later. Dr. W.B. Hobson, physician for the firemen, said Krueger and McBroom suffered nearly total body burns. Krueger, 34, leaves his widow, Mrs. Doris Krueger; three daughters, Karen, Lisa, and Susan Krueger; his mother Mrs. Cleta R. Krueger of Tallulah; a brother, L.E. Krueger of Vicksburg, and six sisters, Mrs. Mable Monk of Baton Rouge; Mrs. Mary Doss of Huntsville, Ala.; Mrs. Frances Lanier of Vicksburg; Mrs. Ruby Zuskind of San Antonio, Tex.; Mrs. Florence Muller of Kalamazoo, Mich.; Mrs. Annie Pettit of Charlotte, N.C. He was born in Tallulah and had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past 14 years. He was employed by the Vicksburg Fire Department for the past 13 years. Capt. Krueger was the secretary of Local 1686, Vicksburg Firefighters Association. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Paul's Catholic Church with Father Michael Glynn officiating and Rev. Thomas Delaney assisting. Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery with the Glenwood Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers will be Doris T. Sprouse, Jesse Baker, Pat Ryan, Johnny Puckett, Ernest Parker, and E.W. (Dick) Varner. Honorary pallbearers will be Harvey Luckett, K. B. Brown, and Local 1686, Vicksburg Fire Fighters Association. Rosary will be said at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. tonight
