All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Frances Krueger Lanier - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, August 7, 2001 Frances Krueger Lanier died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at Vicksburg Medical Center. She was 69. A native of Tallulah, Mrs. Lanier graduated from the Sisters of Mercy Nursing School. She worked as a registered nurse at Mercy and Vicksburg hospitals for more than 25 years. She taught nursing classes at Hines Junior College for several years before working for Haworth Home Health until her retirement in 1994. Mrs. Lanier was a member of the Nurses Service Organization and St. Paul Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Andrew and Cleta Rhynehart Krueger; her husband, Roy M. Lanier Jr., and a brother John M. Krueger. Survivors include three daughters, Gail L. Mason and Janis Lanier, both of Vicksburg, and Leah Ann Stockman of Laurel; one son, Clarence Lanier of Vicksburg; five sisters, Mary K. Doss of Huntsville, Ala., Mable K. Monk of Baton Rouge, Ruby K. Zuskind of San Antonio, Texas, Ann K. Pettit of Charlotte, NC and Florence K. Muller of Otsego, Mich.; one brother, Ernest Krueger of Vicksburg; and seven grandchildren. Services will be at noon Wednesday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas McGing officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Paul Koestler, Paul Monk, David Lanier, Mike Monk, Marc Lutz, and George Mason. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Signa and Conan Signa. Memorials may be made to Haven House, P.O. Box 57, Vicksburg, MS 39181
