May, 53, of St. Joseph, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church here with Rev. Cecil Mims officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Old Union Cemetery near Grayson under direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. May died Monday monring at his residence after a short illness. Mr. May was a veteran of WWII, a member of the Monroe Police Dept. for a number of years, and a member of the United Methodist Church of St. Joseph. He was a member of the Graham-Surgner Lodge No. 383 F&AM and a commercial pilot. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Birdie M. May of St. Joseph; one daughter Rebecca Jolynn Lenox of Monroe, and three brothers, Hollie E. May of Grayson, Garland May of Monroe and Clyde C. May of Tallulah. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Additional Comments: Hunter was the son of Robert Matthew MAY & Olivia DUNN. He married Birdie Helen MAY (his third cousin once removed) on 19 Jun 1945 in Monroe LA.
