All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Carroll Robert Regan - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post February 17, 2008 TALLULAH -- Funeral services for Mr. Carroll Robert Regan, 71, of Tallulah will be Monday at 2 p.m. at St. Edwards Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of the service at the church. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Regan died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at his residence in Tallulah after a lengthy illness. He was former owner and editor/publisher of the Madison Journal. He was a longtime member and past president of the Louisiana Press Association. His newspaper won numerous awards from the LPA during his years as publisher. Mr. Regan was a graduate of Louisiana State University, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. During his many years of service to the community of Tallulah, Mr. Regan was a longtime member and past chairman of the Madison Parish Hospital Board and the Vicksburg/Tallulah Regional Airport Board. He was a longtime Rotarian and a member of the LSU Alumni Association. Mr. Regan was preceded in death by his parents, Georgia Johnson Regan and Alva Bates Regan of Magnolia, Miss. Survivors include his wife, Carol A. "Sug" Regan of Tallulah; two sons, Dr. William Bates Regan of Memphis and Dr. Robert Leo Regan and wife, Carol, of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by three grandchildren, AnnaClaire, Rhymes and Baytes Gabriel. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Edwards Catholic Church, the Silver Cross Cemetery or the charity of your choice.
