Sevier Of Madison Parish Dies TALLULAH. March 26 (Special) Louisiana State Senator Andrew Leonard Sevier, 67, a member of the Senate for the past 30 years, died in the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah about 1:30 p.m. Monday after a lingering illness of several years. Sen. Sevier, a cattleman and owner of a plantation near Tallulah entered the hospital Monday morning shortly before his death. He was a member of a Tallulah Law Firm, Spencer Sevier & Adams, and president of the Tallulah Production Credit Assn. since it was organized in 1933. Funeral services have been set for 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Tallulah Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dan Lott officiating. Burial will follow in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of the Crothers Funeral Home. At the time of his death, he was serving as president of tie Federal Land Bank of which he had been a member since 1933. Sen. Sevier, a veteran of World War I, was a member of the Tallulah Presbyterian Church and a member of the Farm Credit District Board since 1950. He was a stockholder in both the Madison Insurance Agency and the Tallulah Finance Co. His survivors include his widow Mrs. Irene Jordan Sevier of Tallulah; three sons, A. L. Sevier. Jr., Howard Sevier and Warren Sevier of Tallulah; two brothers, Albert Sevier Tallulah and George Sevier, Lake Charles: one sister, Mrs. Juanita Burton, Tucson, Ariz., and nine grandchildren.
