All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Josephine Lisonbee Sullivan - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Madison Journal, June 2000 TALLULAH - Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Lisonbee Sullivan, age 80, of Tallulah were held Wednesday, May 31, in the chapel of the Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mrs. Sullivan died Monday night, May 29, in the Olive Branch Senior Care Center in Tallulah after a lengthy illness. She was born in Indiana and had lived in Madison Parish for 68 years. She was a housewife and was the caretaker of Silver Cross Cemetery for over 25 years. Mrs. Sullivan was a member of Willow Bayou Baptist Church. Survivors include: two sons; Bennie Lisonbee of Laurel, Miss. and Johnny Lisonbee of Baker, Fla.; eight daughters: Rosalie Butler of Swartz, La., Louise Faulkner of Tallulah, Marie Ray of Bastrop, Verda Still of Tallulah, Betty Diggs of Vicksburg, Miss., Mary Ann Wilmore of Las Vegas, Nev., Bobby Vining of Tallulah, Billy Creed of Monroe, La.; two sisters Irene Rhynehart of Tallulah and Leona Snyder of Syracuse, NY; 39 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
