Jordan-Graves Wedding - Madison Parish, Louisiana

On Tuesday, February 16th, 1897 in Tallulah, La., at the Madison House, Mr. George W. Jordan and Miss
Louise M. Graves, both of this parish, were joined in holy wedlock. Justice W. H. McFarland performed
the ceremony in his usual happy style. Only a few relatives and intimate friends were present.
The bride is a young lady of many accomplishments, and is highly esteemed by all who know her. She has
been
a resident of our parish for several years, and her large circle of friends will wish for her a happy
future.
Mr. Jordan is the popular manager of the `Pinch-Em-Easy" plantation in the seventh ward, and enjoys
the esteem
and confidence of a host of friends.
After the ceremony, the happy couple left for Crystal Springs, Miss., where they will spend several
days with
relatives of the groom, before returning to their future home in this parish. They were accompanied as
far as
Vicksburg by Misses Lottie Graves and Ella Evans, and Mr. Jas. Jordan.
