In attempting to rope a horse, he was caught in the rope in some way and thrown some fifteen or twenty feet and in the fall had his right collar bone broken and some of his ribs fractured. Dr. Baird, of our town, was sent for immediately, who set aright the broken bones, and had him sent home to his family. This happened up at Capt. McKoins, on the Bonne Idee. Mr Cooper is one of our best citizens and I am sorry to see him in such pain as he is now. Hope he will soon be on his feet again.
