Kym Bearden and David Tidwell officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Fairchild passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in Monroe, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a graduate of Prairie View Academy and the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Mr. Fairchild was a volunteer at the Main Line Call Center for numerous years and was chosen Volunteer of the Year for three years. Mr. Fairchild is preceded in death by his parents, Lamarcus Chester Fairchild and Shirley Stanley Fairchild. He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Rosie Stanley of Delhi, La.; sisters, Marcia Allen and husband Mike of Monroe, and Anita Sivils and husband Randy of Houston; nieces, Holly Allen and Chasity Allen, both of Monroe, Staci Carlson and husband Bill and great niece Chatham Fairchild Carlson, all of Houston; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friends, Tammy Stokes, Frances Rhone and Marie Golden. Pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Todd Johnson, Jim Hayes, John Tidwell, Ben Tidwell and Lonnie Polk.
