LEON GARNER

Leon Garner, 82, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at Fort Root Veteran's Hospital in 
Little Rock, Ark. He was born on Jan. 19, 1918 to his parents, Charlie 
Washington and Georgia Riles Garner. Mr. Garner was a self-employed salesman 
and a member of Meridian Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his 
parents, two brothers, Emory Garner and LeRoy Garner; three sisters, Doris 
Farrar, Aziel Silloway and Charlene Garner.

Survivors include one brother, Sill Vester Garner and wife Shirley of 
Crossett, Ark.; one sister, Betty Jo Davidson of Bastrop.

 
 
Funeral services were today, Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Jones 
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rick Pyron officiating. Interment will 
follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of 
Crossett.

Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Jones Funeral Home of 
Crossett
