Rosemary Stelz and the Rev. Cal Adams officiating. A time of fellowship and visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home following the memorial services. Mr. Talmadge Wesley Green Jr. was born November 25, 1922 in Marion and he died Wednesday evening, February 27, 2008 at the Oak Woods Home for the Elderly in Mer Rouge. Mr. Green, a longtime Bastrop businessman, was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bastrop. He was a graduate of the Bastrop High School Class of 1940 and a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Bastrop Optimist Club and the American Legion serving as a past commander of the Scott L. Hood Post. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge Wesley Green Sr. and Boyce Elizabeth Edwards Green. Mr. Green is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ann Green of Bastrop; a daughter, Brenda Bates and husband Gene Bates of Atlanta; a son, Randy Green and wife Becky Green of Alexandria, La.; two grandsons, Todd Bates and Bryan Bates and his wife, Yvonne all of Atlanta; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Katie Bates of Atlanta; a brother, Rex Green of Mer Rouge; uncle, John Greene of Monroe; and two nieces, Sara G. Bonsall of Lake Charles, La. and Dona G. Harris and husband Daniel Harris of Mer Rouge.
