His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him throughout his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. Bobby was born to the late Yeager and Hazel Chandler Abraugh on October 3, 1933. He was a graduate of Bonita High School and Northeast Louisiana University. Bobby worked in the multiwall bag production industry for over 40 years, including Olinkraft, Johns Manville, Union Camp and Bemis. Upon his retirement, you could find Bobby working each day at his store, Bonita Motor Supply, until his failing health forced him to retire for good. Bobby is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gloria Hawkins Abraugh; sisters Gladys Abraugh Hattaway (Johnny) and Sandra Abraugh Harp. He is also survived by his daughters Jennifer Abraugh Foster (William) and Julie Abraugh Weaver (Dewey); his grandchildren Katie Foster Wood (Chris), Claire Foster Hernandez (Joseph), Colby Weaver Walker (Jared), Trey Weaver (Ashley), William Graham Weaver, Lydia Claire Weaver; his great- grandchildren Caleb Christopher Wood, Connor Graham Wood, Katherine Leslie Hernandez, Camille Taylor Hernandez, Colton Andrew Weaver and Blake Etheredge Walker; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Joe Abraugh, and great-grandson Trent Weaver. Pallbearers will be Chris Wood, Joe Hernandez, Jared Walker, Trey Weaver, Graham Weaver, Leland (Jinks) Pruitt, Darin (Moosie) Pruitt, and Michael Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Neil Douglas, Doug Hudson, Earl Lingle, Larry Walker, James Wooldridge and the men of New Hope Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mr. Abraugh are scheduled for 11 AM on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Golden Funeral Home in Bastrop with Brother Gary Traylor and Brother Larry Linson officiating. Interment immediately following in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Jones, Louisiana under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
