Golden Funeral Home - March 2016
CHARLES CURTIS ALLEN

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Curtis Allen, age 77, are scheduled for 2 
PM Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Carter 
officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the 
direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 7 
PM Wednesday, March 9, at Golden Funeral Home.

Mr. Allen, a retired independent insurance agent and resident of Bastrop, 
was a hardworking man who loved his grandchildren very much. He was also a 
member of Faith Baptist Church. Early in his career he was a television 
director and worked his way up to production supervisor at multiple network 
television stations.

He is survived by his sons, Mike Allen and wife Marcia of Sterlington, LA, 
Shawn Allen and wife Ethel of Bastrop, LA; brother, Bob Allen and wife Pat 
of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Shelly, Holly, Chasity, DeWayne, Sheena and 
Douglas; three great grandchildren; nephews, Chris and Brian and a niece, 
Cheryl.

Mr. Allen is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Allen; parents, Bruner and 
Nadine Allen.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Kevin Sisson, Lynn Sanders, Doug Goyne and 
Billy Sisson.
