Jimmy Yocum officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday from 4-9 p.m. at Twin Oaks Baptist Church. Mr Anders, a resident of Mer Rouge, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Morehouse General Hospital. He was a retired employee of International Paper Company and a charter member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church where he served as deacon, treasurer, and Sunday School teacher. He had also retired from the Louisiana National Guard and served as a Boy Scout leader for 15 years where he received the highest honor of Wood Badge. He was a charter member and governor of the Moose Lodge. Mr. Anders is preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Ingram; parents, Jasper and Dovie Anders; two brothers, Mike Anders and Leroy Anders. He is survived by his wife of 49 1/2 years, Shirley Anders; two sons, James Preston Anders & wife Sharon of Mer Rouge, LA, Scott Lamar Anders of Gonzales, LA; sister, Rose Mary Watts of Bastrop, LA; three brothers, Ronnie Anders of Mt. View, AR, Bill Anders of Bastrop, LA, Barry Anders of Swartz, LA; grandchildren, Derek Anders, Lauren Anders, Taylor Ingram, Sarah Ingram, Justin Pritchett, Chase Pritchett; great grandson, Chase Landon Pritchett; and special son in law, Robert Ingram and wife Sherrie. Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Francois, Carl Francois, Jr., Russell Kelly, Jamie Kelly, Charles Anders, Bruce Anders, Mark Anders, and Jeff Anders. Honorary pallbearers will be the Mens Sunday School Class of Twin Oaks Baptist Church, Dr. Clint Netherland, Doug Houston, Rev. Carl Francois, Johnny W. Baker, Al Baker, Marshall Stephens, and Carlton Osteen.
