Anderson, age 77, of Mer Rouge, LA, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Lonadier officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Anderson passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at Morehouse General Hospital. He was a retired millwright of 20 years with International Paper Company and owner of J.C. and Mary's Restaurant for 18 years. J.C. loved his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, cooking and gardening. He always had a special story to tell you. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Anderson; daughter, Cathy Bottrell and husband Larry of Layton, UT; son, Gary Anderson and wife Terri of Bastrop, LA; sister, Willie Lehde Johnson and husband Louis of Texarkana, AR; sister in- law and brother in-law, Howard and Ruth Halterman; four granchildren, Aaron Bottrell and wife Amy, April Thompson and husband Mel, Staci Coleman and husband Scott, Mandi Reynolds and husband Gabe; eleven great grandchildren, Tyler and Jade, Paige and husband B.J., Hope, Justin, Maddy, Ashtin, Hunter, Cassidy, Abbigale, Cole, Graci; one great great grandchild, Calyx; niece, Debbie Goyne; nephew, Rick Halterman and special friends, Floyd Ellinburg and Tom Wilmore. Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by his parents, Lennie and Emmer Anderson; brother, Bobby Anderson; daughter, Sandra Estep; granddaughter, Christy Gregory and husbands, Cade Gregory and Randy Tubbs and a grandson, Jeffrey Boone. Serving as pallbearers are: David Germany, Ricky Halterman, Bobby Mercer, B.J. Swayze, Tab Wilkerson and Herman Worsley. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Naile, Bob Funderburg, Leo Watson, Jim Roberson, Kenneth Dement and Marshall Stephens.
