BASTROP, LA.-Funeral services for Mrs. Reola Bell "Ola" Armstrong will be held 
10:00 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2009 at the New Hope Baptist Church at Jones, 
Louisiana with the Reverends Larry Linson and Jimmy Yocum officiating. 
Interment will follow at the Zachary Cemetery at Jones under the direction of 
Cox Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, 
August 27th at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.

Reola Bell Armstrong was born December 31, 1908 in Hamburg, Arkansas to the 
late Will Owens Franklin and Kitty Ann Carter Franklin. She died Tuesday, 
August 25, 2009 at the LeGrand Health Care Center in Bastrop. Mrs. "Ola" 
Armstrong was a lifelong resident of Jones, Louisiana and a retired farmer. 
She was also a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She is preceded in death 
by her parents; her husband, T.D. Armstrong; a son, Larry Douglas Armstrong; 
and a granddaughter, Bonnie McIntyre. 

She is survived by her three daughters, Mildred Polk and her husband, Dean 
Polk of Bastrop, Maxine Wood and her husband, Herbert Wood of Crossett, 
Arkansas, Joyce Case and her husband Noah Case of Swartz, Louisiana; eleven 
grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and twenty-seven great-great 
grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Mark Reed, Steve Reed, Chuck Reed, Billy Hunt, 
Jimmy Crockett, Mike Smith, and Clay McIntyre.
