BASTROP DAILY ENTERPRISE - MARCH 13, 1975
ISRAIL BARNES

Israil Barnes, 68, lifelong resident of Mer Rouge died Tuesday at his home there 
following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Ollie Grove Baptist 
Church in Collinston, with the Reverend E.W. Radford officiating.

Interment will follow in Trousers Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Harris 
Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Malvine Payton Barnes; four brothers, Namon Barnes, 
Rev. James Barnes, Lee Barnes and Dallas Barnes; three sisters, Annie Austin, 
Selena Sims and Rosie Cash; one daughter; two grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.
