GOLDEN FUNERAL HOME - NOV. 15, 2019
JOHN RANDALL SR. BENNETT

Funeral services for Mr. John Randall “Randy” Bennett, Sr., age 60, of Bastrop, 
LA, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the Chapel of 
Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Hackler officiating. Interment will follow 
in Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. 
Wednesday at Golden Funeral Home.

Mr. Bennett, a retired employee of Georgia Pacific and member of the Baptist 
faith, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019. He had a big heart and loved to 
help people in need. He coached baseball for several years starting with the 
Bennett Electric team. He enjoyed trail riding with his friends on four-wheelers 
and woodworking. He also loved his dog.

Mr. Bennett is survived by his mother, Avanell Bennett; daughter, Jessica Claire 
Bennett; son, John Randall Bennett, Jr.; brother, Keith Bennett and wife Ann; 
sister, Donna Kay Bennett Santana and Daniel Woods; step-daughter, Simone Claire 
McMillon; niece, Katherine Santana; nephews, Timothy John Santana, Corey Matthew 
Bennett; and six great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Jackson Bennett and grandparents, 
Earl and Mildred Freeland and Jack and Gladys Bennett.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jeff Wilmore, Gary Culver, Steve 
Perry, Raymond Goodman, Jr., Morgan Edmonds and Terry Hunter.
