Golden Funeral Home - February 2016
PAUL M. JR. BENSON

Funeral services for Mr. Paul M. Benson, Jr., are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. 
Saturday, February 20, 2016, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Mr. 
Jared McCain and Mr. Buford Benson officiating. Interment will follow in 
Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The 
family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. service 
time.

Mr. Benson, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Friday, February 19, 
2016, at the age of 83. He served the United States Air Force for twenty 
years and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. Mr. Benson was also a Mason 
and a Shriner.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Benson; daughters, Sherry Rushing of 
Bastrop, LA, and Ellen McCain of Pearl River, LA; brother, Buford Benson of 
Bastrop, LA; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and numerous 
nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr. Benson is preceded in death by his parents, Paul M. Sr. and Rita Tugwell 
Benson; and brother, John A. Benson.
