Dorothy Blacet

Bastrop, La. -

Dorothy Blacet, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., passed away Saturday, November 
8, 2008 in West Monroe.


She was born in Fountain Hill, Ark. to T.A. LaGrone Jr. and Mae Bledsoe 
LaGrone. She was a Lieutenant in the United States Army, who served as a 
registered nurse. Upon discharge, she continued to work as a registered nurse, 
always helping and serving others. Dorothy was a member of Village United 
Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village, Ark. She loved to play bridge and 
golf.   


She was preceded in death by her birth parents and her adopted parents, Guy 
and Belle Morgan; her husband, Bill Blacet; a daughter, Sue Blacet; two 
brothers, James Spivey and her twin brother, T.A. Morgan III; two sisters, 
Mary Katherine Burchfield and Ada Pearl Harper.   


Dorothy is survived by: her son, Paul D. Blacet and wife, Vicki of Hampstead , 
N.C.; her Daughter, Martha A. Blacet of West Monroe; two grandchildren, 
Jennifer Smith and husband, Jeff of Charlotte, N.C., Melanie Newton and 
husband, Brian of Troy, Va.; and six great-grandchildren.   


A visitation and reception is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 
2008 at CedarVale Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs Village, Ark., with the 
funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend CE McAdoo 
officiating.   Interment will be at CedarVale Cemetery.


The family respectfully requests memorials be made to Village United Methodist 
Church, 200 Carmona Road , Hot Springs Village , AR 71909 .
