James Moffet officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, prior to the service, beginning at 1 PM. Mr. Boykin, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at the age of eighty. He retired from International Paper Company as a pulp mill operator and was a member of North East Street Rodders Association, as well as numerous other organizations. Mr. Boykin loved hunting and spent a lot of his time working on street rods and other mechanical things. He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Patsy Gibson Boykin; daughter, Carissa Cerda of Middletown, OH; one brother, Doyle Wayne Boykin of Bastrop, LA; six grandchildren, Chad Cerda, Nicholas Cerda, Noah Cerda, Cabrian Cerda, Tyler Malott, Austin Malott; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Boykin is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Mary Boykin; sister, Deborah Boykin Moore; granddaughter, Kendra Malott; and two great grandchildren.
