Allan Eppinette officiating. Committal services and burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery of Bastrop under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday, September 4th, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop Ms. Boyte, a retired surgical tech, was born December 24, 1946 at Oak Grove, Louisiana. She passed away at her residence in Bastrop, Louisiana, surrounded by her family that she dearly loved, on Wednesday September 2, 2020. Joyce was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and her dogs. Most of all she loved her family and her grandchildren dearly. She will be missed by many. Ms. Boyte is preceded in death by her father, Dillard Boyte, her mother and step-father Laveda Kersh Hackworth and Clifford Hackworth, sister Vicky Lynn Ratcliff, and five brothers Marcus Wayne Easom, Johnny Mack Boyte, James Burl Easom, Steve Boyte, and William Charles "Chuck" Easom. Joyce is survived by her daughters Deborah Lynn Wilson (Jack) and Carla Sue Hicks. She is also survived by six grandchildren Justin McBroom (Amy), Dustin McBroom (Amanda), Jarrod McBroom, Skylah Hicks, Ripley Hicks, and Lucy Hicks; seven great-grandchildren Alyssa, Jacelyn, Carsyn, Logen, Adriana, Kaiden, and Cortlynn; sister Sharon Gayle Brown (James); four brothers William Boyte (Marlene), Dean Boyte (Mary), Allen Boyte (Polly), Bobby Dale Easom (Debra); two sisters-in-laws Paula Easom and Silva Boyte; brother-in-law Thomas Ratcliff; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family. Serving as pallbearers are Jordan McBroom, Justin McBroom, Ronald Fudge, Jason Duncan, Scott Boyte, and James Welch. Honorary pallbearers be Jack Thames and Otarius Jones.
