Taylor Freeland and Bro. Eric Newnum officiating. A time of visitation will be held Thursday from 12 noon - 2 PM service time at Goldens. Mr. Brooks, a retired Forklift operator for International Paper Company and Lamb Weston, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the age of sixty-three. He attended Tillou Baptist Church, enjoyed collecting guns, riding motorcycles, and best of all, spoiling his grandchildren. Mr. Brooks was a kind, loving, and forgiving soul who was always willing to help others in need. He is survived by his wife, Angela Foster Brooks; daughter, Velda Guyewski and husband Stanley of Bastrop, LA; sons, Aaron David Brooks and wife Krystle, Bruce Musgrove, Jr., all of Bastrop, LA; sister, Regina Ann Fuller of Pensacola, FL; brothers, Michael Lee Sharp and wife Gail of Bastrop, LA, Donald Lane Sharp and wife Betty of West Monroe, LA; father-in-law, Robert Foster, Sr. and wife Cheryl of Denison, TX; sister-in-law, Renee McCready and husband Orvel of Bastrop, LA; brother-in-law, Robert Foster, Jr. and wife Gina of Jasper, TX; grandchildren, David Allen Brooks, Matthew Crews, Krysta Brooks, Kallie Crews; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Brooks is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Robbie Brooks; brother, Dennis Lamar Brooks; mother-in-law, Marie Foster; and sister-in-law, Susan Sharp. Serving as pallbearers will be David Brooks, Michael Sharp, Donald Sharp, Anthony Griffith, R. D. Payne and Darren Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Guyewski, David Watt, Kevin Blackwell, Willie Pierre and his co-workers from International Paper and Lamb Weston.
