BROWN Funeral services for Mr. Earl W. Brown, age 96, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 24, 2015, at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Peters and Rev. Carlos Trapp officiating. Interment will be held in Beekman Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the church. Mr. Brown, a member/deacon of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World, served in Gen. Patton's 3rd Army during World War II. He was born in Beekman, Louisiana on January 20, 1919. Mr. Brown was a lifelong resident of Morehouse Parish. He was employed by and retired from International Paper Company after 43 years. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Earline D. Brown; daughters, Renee Brown Hinton and husband Mike of Bastrop, LA, Toni Evans McKee and husband Wayne of Denham Springs, LA; sons, Jerry Wayne Brown and wife Sandra of Panama City Beach, FL, Larry Don Brown and wife Tani, Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Kim Davison and husband Dale of Panama City Beach, FL, Karen Brown of Birmingham, AL; Leslie Mathis and husband Tyler of San Diego, CA; Michael Hinton and wife Joni of Conway, AR; Jeremy Hinton and wife Cynthia of Bastrop, LA; great grandchildren, Rob Davison, Jessica Giadrosich and husband Patrick, Harrison Hinton, Adyn Hinton; special nephew, Randy Brown and wife Barbara of Mesquite, TX; three step granddaughters, Amanda Jones and husband Jason of Watson, LA, Melanie Stevens and husband Lance of New Orleans, LA, and Colleen Staton and husband Brandon of Watson, LA; four great step children. Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his parents, Sam Peton and Cora Moore Brown; first wife, Oree Griffis Brown son, Ronald Earl Brown; four brothers and four sisters. Pallbearers will be; Larry Ryder, Gene Colvin, Jim Wilson, Jack McCormack, Danny Clark and Lynn Sanders. Honorary pallbearers are A.P. Owens, Lynn Eppinette, William Nolan and Wayne McKee.
