He was a native of Collinston and resided in mer Rouge until 1967, when he moved to Bastrop. He was employed in construction work. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Olive Grove Baptist Church in Collinston, with the Reverend Cleo Waters officiating. Interment will be in the Trousers Hill Cemetery under the direction of Loche's Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Ellen Bryant; one daughter, Arnester, a son, Wilma Earl; his mother, Rosie Lee Hawkins; his father, Willie Bryant; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Evans Sr. all of Bastrop; one brother, Monroe Keys of Chicago, Ill. and a number of other relatives.
