BARBARA FAYE BYRD

Funeral services for Barbara Faye Byrd are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday,
December 30, 2017, at Horseshoe Baptist Church of Mer Rouge, LA. Rev. Bob
Lonadier will officiate. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery of Collinston,
LA. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at the
church.
Ms. Byrd passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Thursday, December
28, 2017, at the age of 86. She was a faithful member of Horseshoe Baptist
Church and will be missed by all those who knew her.
Ms. Byrd is survived by her children, Richard Byrd and wife Janice of Lafayette,
LA, Wayne Byrd and wife Cynthia of Dallas, TX; Favorite grandchild, Malinda
Campbell and husband Philip of Homer, LA; great grandchildren, Layla Campbell,
Annabel Campbell, Wesley Campbell, all of Homer, LA; sister, Shirley White of
Mer Rouge, LA and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Benjamin H. Byrd; parents, Anthony
Bascom Thomas III and Jettie Rea Thomas; sister, Elma Dean Barham; brothers, M.
L. Thomas and Herbert Thomas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Barham, Keith "Bubba" Thomas, David Thomas,
Steve Thomas, Don White, and Mike Silk.
 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Horseshoe Baptist Church of Mer
Rouge, LA.
