DENNIS J. CANON

Dennis J. Canon, 74, died late Monday at Morehouse General Hospital after a long 
illness.

Mr. Canon wa a retireee from International Paper Co., and had lived in the 
parish for the past 33 years.

Funeral services are being held at 2:30 p.m. today at the Farrar's Funeral 
Chapel with the Rev. Pat Guice officiating. Interment will be in Stephenson 
Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Freeland Canon of Bastrop; three sons, James C. 
Canon of Huntington Park, Calif., Clyde D. Canon and Richard King, both of 
Bastrop; one daughter, Mrs. Lillian Day of Bastrop; one brother, Marion Gore of 
Brownnwood,Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Winnie Stewart and Mrs. G.H. Schwantes, both 
of Abilene, Texas and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers include Scott Townsend, Sonny Rogers, Bill and Bud Rogers, Charles 
Farrar and Ronald Hickman
