Umpherman Carter Funeral services for Mrs. Rose O. Umpherman Carter, age 89 and a resident of Collinston, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Collinston First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Loveday officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at Collinston First Baptist Church. Mrs. Carter, a nurse and quilter, passed away Monday, September 15, 2008 at her residence. She was the current pianist for Collinston First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and numerous brothers and sisters. Mrs. Carter is survived by two daughters, Cathy Oser and husband Jerry of Collinston, LA, Patricia "Cricket" Edmonds and husband Harold of Foley, AL; three sons, Arthur Floyd Carter and wife Hazel of Collinston, LA, Darroll Carter and wife Mary Ann of Bay Minnette, AL, Robert Carter of Baton Rouge, LA; one sister, Betty Brillhart of Kansas City, KS; ten grandchildren, Rhonda Church and husband Greg of Collinston, LA, Arthur Carter, Jr. and wife Lisa of Beekman, LA, John Carter and wife Rose of Collinston, LA, Lisa Kilcrease and husband Brian of Collinston, LA, Shawn Marie Oser of Collinston, LA, Chris Carter and wife Therese of Wetumpka, AL, Valerie Coulter of Milton, FL, Sandra Howell and Bill of Sunny Vale, CA, Eric Baldwin and Christia of Foley, AL, Randy Howell and wife Loni of Kansas City, KS; numerous great grandchildren; one step great great granddaughter and one great great granddaughter.
