Her journey in life came to an end September 30, 2008 at Dallas Regional Hospital in Dallas, TX after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer. She fought a good fight and won the battle, now her reward is in Heaven. Lillie confessed Christ at an early age and united with the New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Bastrop under the leadership of Rev. I.J. Jordan. She retired from Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop in 2001. She is the third of eight siblings and is preceded in death by her parents, husband, S SGT George Christopher Jr. and oldest brother, Freddie Lee Scott. She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Malcom Christopher and wife, Alisa; grandchildren, Kris LaShun, Malcom II, Aleyh and Caleb of Mesquite, TX; three brothers, Sammie Lee Scott and Julius Scott, Jr. of Dallas, TX, Cecil Ray Williams (Betty) of Memphis, TN; four sisters, Annie Lee Scott High (James), Rosie Lee Scott Hayes, Dorothy Ann Scott Willis and Ruth Lavonne Williams (Leon), all of Dallas, TX; a loving and devoted aunt, Lela Mae Madison of Richmond, CA and uncle, George Scott (Mattie) of Bastrop; numerous other relatives, nephews, nieces, cousins and beloved friends. Visitation is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, October 3. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 4. Both services will be held at Greater El Bethel Baptist Church, 1130 E. Ninth Street, Dallas, TX. Interment at DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
