Joey Kennedy and Rev. Bob Lonadier officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove South Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 22, from 5 PM until 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home. Bobby went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 19, 2015, at the age of 73. He was born June 13, 1942 in Baskin, Louisiana to Cecil George and Mary Lucille Clingan. He died at his residence in Bastrop, Louisiana. He was a retired Control Room Operator, having worked for International Paper Company for 40 years. He was truly blessed with a wonderful gift of music. Bobby and Shoney served the Lord for many years with their ministry, "Beside Still Waters." Bringing God's love to the elderly and homebound. Bobby was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, companion and friend. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Stacey Clingan, and his son, Mark Clingan both of Bastrop; granddaughters, Jessica Ann Warren and husband Chase, Lynzie Clingan Korjan and husband Steve, all of Bastrop, and Brianna Rose Clingan of Mer Rouge; one great-granddaughter, Kynzie Brooke Korjan; sisters, Kennon Walker of Mangum and Barbara Walker of Jonesville; brothers, Bud Clingan of Jonesville and Marvin Clingan of Crowville; the woman he loved, Shoney Franklin of Mer Rouge. Bobby is preceded in death by his son, Roger Clingan. His parents and also by his brothers, Cecil Ray Clingan and Jack Clingan. Serving as pallbearers will be Gerald Lester, Chase Warren, Philip Daughtery, Buddy Hemphill, Tony Smith and Dennie Rod Gray. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Leasure, David Evans, Mike Cote and Charlie Moore.
