GOLDEN FUNERAL HOME  - MAY 10, 2022
JAMES LEE COLEMAN


Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Lee Coleman, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 
10 AM Thursday, May 12, 2022 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. 
Travis Arrant officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Coleman passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the age of sixty-six and was 
employed with the City of Bastrop, prior to his illness, working as a mechanic. 
He was a simple man, loved to garden, and deal with anything mechanical. He 
loved fishing and also enjoyed watching his western shows, especially Gunsmoke. 
Mr. Coleman was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his 
grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Lesia Coleman; children, Johnny 
Lee Coleman, Jr, Pam McKenzie and husband Graeme; sister, Judy Hogan and husband 
Ben; brother, Danny Coleman and wife Janice; grandchildren, William Gage 
Coleman, Eli McKenzie, Rhett McKenzie and Waylon McKenzie; and a host of nieces 
and nephews.

Mr. Coleman is preceded in death by his parents, Eurie and Lucille Coleman.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Johnny Lee Coleman, Jr, William Gage 
Coleman, Stephen Bowen, Lane Bowen, Shaun Coleman, and Graeme McKenzie.

The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to the Doctors, Nurses and 
Techs at Fresenius Kidney Care Morehouse Parish.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 5 PM - 7 PM at 
Goldens.
