RHONDA GILBERT COPES

Funeral services for Mrs. Rhonda Gilbert Copes, age 60, were held at 10 AM
Thursday, November 16, 2017 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff
May and Bro. Rudy Hernandez officiating. Interment followed in Newton Cemetery,
Delhi, LA under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Copes, a retired Nurse and homemaker, passed away Saturday, November 11,
2017. Mrs. Copes was preceded in death by her father, Joe Grady Gilbert. She
loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an animal lover and
rescuing animals was her passion.
Mrs. Copes was survived by her husband, Larry Copes; mother, Earline Gilbert
Rushing, and husband Herman; daughter, Krystal Bonner Kemp and husband James;
step-children, Amanda Copes Martin, Kimberly Copes Blaylock, John Copes, Sarah
Copes; sisters, Tammie Smith and husband Keith, Lisa May and husband Jeff;
grandchildren, Maria Foster, Luke Foster, Gunner Kemp; nieces, Presley May,
Sheridan May; nephews, Joseph Smith and wife Jessica, Grayson May; great niece,
Kinley Smith; and great nephew, Eli Smith.
Serving as pallbearers were James Kemp, Luke Foster, Jerry May, John Copes,
Kelly May, and Daniel Frith.
The family received friends from 5 PM until 7 PM Wednesday at Golden Funeral Home.
