Cecil Gregory and Rev. Kyle Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Crabtree, a retired barber for over 50 years, and member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. Shorty loved life and was very good with names. He loved conversing with people and telling jokes. He also enjoyed fishing and most of all he loved his Lord. Mr. Crabtree is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ramona Crabtree; two daughters, Tonia Crabtree, Annis Prescott, and husband Ron; sister, Vada Reeves; grandchildren, Joe Higginbotham, Ashton McIntyre, and wife Christina, Chris Cathey, and wife Shawn; great grandchildren, Alexis Higginbotham, Luke McIntyre, Anna Faith McIntyre, Trinity Cathey, London Cathey, Parker Cathey, and C.J. Franklin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Minnie Crabtree and a brother, J.R. Crabtree. Serving his family as pallbearers will be; Dennis Akers, Bobby Nugent, Jim Wilson, William Hayden, Sammy Blackman and Mike Arant.
