Bill Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker, La. Crook, who retired from Ethel Corp. in Baton Rouge, died Feb. 23, 2004 at North Monroe Hospital. Visitation will be at Golden Chapel from 10 a.m. until noon services Wednesday. A native of Ark., Crook was a resident of the War Veterans Home in Monoe. He was a military veteran of World War II and also served in the Merhcant Marines. He is survived by two sisters, Myrtis Morris of Wilmot, Ark., and Betty Kimbrell of Baker, La.; a brother, Louie Crook of Mer Rouge; two grandchildren, Pam Ensor and husband Bobby and Rhonda McElveen; and one great grandson, Joshua Ensor, all of Denham Springs, La. Crook was preceded in death by his wife, Vernie Deville Crook; daughter, Daphne Leevon McElveen; parents, Marvin E. and Frances Pennington Crook; siblings, Gladys Woods, Mary Lee Dunigan, Almus Crook, Marvin E. Crook Jr., Billy Crook and Patricia Sims Crow.
