Olive is survived by her children - Judy Clingan and Mark Jamieson of Colorado and Deb (McCurren) Novak of Washington, D.C; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great- great nieces and nephews; and her lifelong friend of 91+ years, Miss Catherine "Cat" Barham, of Oak Ridge Louisiana. "Baby" was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Verna Bardin; her daughter, Peggy Smith; her granddaughter, Michelle Smith; her brother, Wayne Bardin; her sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Van Lee Sr.; five husbands; two nephews, and a great-niece. Olive was born on November 29, 1921 and raised in Oak Ridge, Louisiana. She lived a full and exciting life in Boulder, Denver and Colorado Springs, CO; Wichita, KS, Bastrop and Monroe, LA; and Hot Springs Village, AR. Her family and friends will always remember Olive’s love of music, swimming, tennis, golf, boating, and above all else - dancing. Additionally, she will be remembered for her USA patriotism. She was actively involved in Pierian Club, and Abram-Morehouse DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) as Constitution Week Chair, with particular interest for Friends of Veterans and Junior Youth Patriot. The first Service to celebrate Olive’s life was held on Saturday, September 17, at the Cedarvale Funeral Home in Hot Springs Village, AR, from 3:30-5 PM. A celebration of life reception at one of Olive's favorite restaurants, Last Chance, on Balboa lake, followed. Miss Baby's coming home service will be held in Oak Ridge, LA on October 15th, at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Eddie Davis officiating.
